Where in the World is Amelia Torres? Part 2

Note: This “mystery series” appeared at the end (footer) of a community newsletter (Lingo Lifestyle, Lingo Live) that featured company employees as characters in a global, online mystery game. The footer of the newsletter ALWAYS featured some fun fact, a joke, picture, gif, meme…anything that I thought would make a reader stick around to the end of the newsletter, if only to see what shenanigans I had gotten myself into that week.

The mystery game, however, outdid itself. It was truly one of the best pieces of engaging content I’d ever created.

So, with that being said…

Think you’re a jetsetter? An armchair detective? Then play along and see if you can guess…

Where In The World Is Amelia Torres?

If you made it this far, stay a little longer. The plot has thickened…

Last week, I asked the coaching community for help in capturing the elusive fugitive, Amelia Torres. And some of you did. Some of you came through. Some of you solved the riddle.

And some of you…betrayed me.

Thanks to the clever sleuthing of several coaches, I found evidence of Amelia in Mexico. But by the time I’d flown in, she’d flown the coop. Devastated, I hopped on the next plane headed back to New York City. However, as soon as the wheels touched down in The Big Apple, I received a text from an unknown number.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading. This implied…Longo Love had another secret agent. This implied that that secret agent was none other than…My own Spanish coach, alias: Mechi.

It couldn’t be. But after some investigative work, I had to face the cold, hard reality of Mechi’s true identity: a criminal mastermind known ’round the world for her ability to evade capture in any heist with her hell-on-wheels getaway car, Carlotta.

And then, another text:

Sorry you missed me in Mexico, but here’s another chance:

Go to the country where el tango is the dance.

We’ve got good rhythm, we’ve got good fun

but Mechi, Carlotta, and I are on the run!

After the city of good air, here’s your next clue:

We’re getting soaking wet at Foz do Iguaçu!

Where are we?

I’m starting to question who I can and can’t trust anymore. It feels like there are eyes and ears everywhere, watching, waiting…

Coaches, those of you still standing tall in the face of Longo Love’s evil empire, I implore you to help me once again and play…
